AI Voice Isolator
Upload audio or video and get back a clean voice track, with music, background noise and room echo taken out.

Your upload is only used to make the clean voice — it isn't stored. Results stay private in your library.
AI Voice Isolator
Remixy's voice isolator separates the human voice from everything around it. Drop in a recording with traffic, a humming fridge, a café crowd or a song playing underneath, and you get back the voice on its own, with the noise, music and echo removed. It works on audio and video files, and you can also record straight from your microphone.
It's made for anyone who has had a good take spoiled by a bad environment: podcasters recording in untreated rooms, journalists with street interviews, creators pulling dialogue out of video clips, and musicians who want the vocal line from a track. Processing usually takes a few seconds, and the finished voice track is saved to your library.
How it works
- 1
Add a file or record
Upload an MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4 or MOV up to 10 minutes and 100 MB, or record directly from your microphone in the browser.
- 2
Let it isolate the voice
The isolator removes music, background noise and room reflections while keeping the speaker's tone. Most files are done within seconds.
- 3
Listen and download
Play the clean voice and download it as an MP3. The result also stays in your library, so you never need to process the same file twice.
What you get
Removes noise, music and echo
One pass handles steady noise like hiss and hum, unpredictable sounds like traffic and chatter, background music, and the hollow reverb of a large or bare room.
Works with audio and video
Upload MP3, WAV or M4A audio, or MP4 and MOV video. When you start from a video, you get the voice back as an audio track ready to drop into your edit.
Record from the microphone
No file yet? Record in the browser and clean it up in the same place, which is handy for voice memos and quick test takes.
Files up to 10 minutes
Each upload can be up to 10 minutes long and 100 MB, which covers most interview segments, podcast clips and full songs.
Your upload isn't stored
The source file you upload is not kept after processing, and the isolated voice is private to your account by default.
Saved to your library
Every clean voice track is kept in your library next to your other Remixy work, ready to play or download again.
Popular ways to use it
Podcasts and interviews
Clean up guest audio recorded on a laptop mic, take out air conditioning hum, or rescue an interview recorded beside a busy road.
A cappella vocals from a song
Pull the vocal out of a track for practice, remix sketches, learning harmonies or studying a singer's phrasing.
Phone recordings
Make voice memos and phone-recorded clips easier to understand by removing the room and the clutter around the voice.
Video dialogue
Extract clear dialogue from vlogs, event footage or short film takes where wind, crowd noise or music bled into the microphone.
Cleaner transcripts
Isolate the voice before running speech to text so noisy meetings and field recordings give the transcription a clearer signal.
A dry voice for re-voicing
Start from a clean voice before using the voice changer or recording a sample for a voice clone, both of which work best without background sound.
How to remove background noise from a recording
Background noise comes in a few types, and the isolator deals with all of them at once. Constant noise, such as fan hum, hiss from a cheap microphone or an idling car, is the easiest to separate because it never changes. Intermittent noise, like a door closing, a dog barking or other people talking, is harder for traditional noise gates but fits naturally into the isolator's job of keeping only the main voice.
Echo is the one people forget. A voice recorded in a kitchen, stairwell or empty room carries reflections that make it sound distant even when there's no obvious noise. Removing that room sound is often what makes a home recording feel close and professional. If the result is headed for a podcast or video, isolate first, then apply your usual EQ and compression to the clean track.
Start from the best file you have. A WAV or the original video beats a copy that has been compressed, downloaded or forwarded several times, because heavy compression has already thrown away detail the voice needs.
Isolating vocals from music
The same process that removes a café from an interview can take the band away from a singer. Upload a song and the isolator returns the vocal line without the instruments, which is useful for learning a part, checking lyrics, sketching a remix or practicing harmonies against the lead.
Results depend on the mix. Vocals that sit clearly on top of the music come out cleanly, while stacked harmonies or vocals drenched in long reverb may carry small traces of the arrangement with them. Make sure you have the right to use any song you upload, especially if you plan to publish something built on the vocal.
Pricing, limits and privacy
Voice isolation costs 120 credits per started minute of audio. The length is measured on the server, with a 2-second grace, so a file that runs 1 minute and 1 second is billed as one minute, not two. A 10-minute file, the maximum, costs 1,200 credits.
New accounts start with 150 free credits after verifying their email, enough to try the isolator on a short clip. Premium and Pro top up your credits monthly and include a commercial license for results you publish. Your uploaded source isn't stored, and the isolated voice is private by default.
Questions
Is the voice isolator good for removing music from vocals?
Yes. It takes the music away from a song and leaves the vocal, and results are cleanest when the voice sits clearly above the mix. Heavy effects or stacked harmonies can leave small traces of the instruments.
What files can I upload?
MP3, WAV and M4A audio, or MP4 and MOV video, up to 10 minutes and 100 MB per file. You can also record from your microphone.
Can it remove echo from a recording?
Yes. Room echo and reverb are removed along with noise and music, which helps recordings made in kitchens, halls or bare rooms sound closer.
How much does voice isolation cost?
120 credits per started minute, measured on the server with a 2-second grace. A 45-second clip costs 120 credits and a 3-minute file costs 360.
Do you keep my uploaded file?
No. The source file isn't stored. Only the isolated voice is saved, and it's private to your account by default.
Can I isolate a voice from a video?
Yes. Upload an MP4 or MOV and you get the clean voice back as an MP3 that you can place in your video editor.
How long does it take?
Usually a few seconds, depending on the length of the file.
Can I use the cleaned audio commercially?
Results made on Premium or Pro come with a commercial license, while free-plan results are for personal use. For songs and other people's recordings, you also need the rights to the original.
