Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your Remixy.AI account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains exactly what is removed, what is kept (and why), and how to request deletion.
How to request deletion
- Email support@remixy.ai from the address registered to your account, with the subject line "Account deletion request".
- We will reply within 72 hours to confirm. After confirmation we delete your account within 30 days.
- If you signed up via OAuth (Google, Apple, Discord, or Facebook), you can additionally revoke Remixy.AI's access in your provider's settings:
- Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Apple: appleid.apple.com → Sign in with Apple
- Discord: User Settings → Authorized Apps
- Facebook: Settings → Apps and Websites → Active
What we delete
- Your user record (email, password hash, name, avatar, handle, bio, banner).
- All your generated tracks and metadata (lyrics, tags, prompts).
- Your likes, notifications, and uploaded audio.
- Your OAuth account links and active sessions.
- Your referral code and any pending referral rewards you haven't yet earned.
What we keep — and why
- Stripe payment records. If you ever paid us, we keep invoices for the period required by tax and accounting regulations (typically up to 7 years). These are kept on Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure and never expose your card details.
- Anonymized aggregate analytics. Once your identifiers are removed, the remaining counts (e.g. "total tracks generated in May") are no longer personal data.
- Server backup logs beyond 90 days may briefly retain your data; they are cycled out automatically within that window.
Self-service alternative
We are building a one-click account deletion button in your Settings page. Until it ships, the email flow above is the official channel. We aim to honour every deletion request within 30 days as required by GDPR Art. 17 and CCPA §1798.105.
