About this tool

AI Song Extender

The song extender adds new music to a song you already have. Pick one of your Remixy songs or upload a track, choose what the new part should be, and get back a longer version that continues in the same voice, instruments and feel. It's the quickest way to turn a short idea into a full-length song, give a track a real ending, or make an extended cut for a video.

It's useful for songwriters who love a first draft but need a second verse, creators whose track is a little too short for their edit, and DJs who want a longer intro or outro to mix with. You can write the new lyrics yourself, have them drafted for you, or keep the new section instrumental.

How it works

  1. 1

    Choose the song

Select one of your Remixy songs, or upload an MP3, WAV or M4A up to 5 minutes and 30 MB.

  2. 2

    Decide where and how much

For songs made with Remixy's own models, pick the moment to continue from. For other songs and uploads, set the length of the new section, from 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add lyrics or go instrumental

Type new lyrics, press Write it for me to draft lines that continue the song, or switch to instrumental. Keep the original style or steer it.

  4. 4

    Create and listen

Check the price shown before you create. The longer version is usually ready in under a minute.

What you get

Continue from any point

On songs made with Remixy's own models, you choose exactly where the continuation starts, and everything before that moment stays as it was.

Original kept exactly

For songs made with the ElevenLabs engine and for uploads, the original audio is left untouched and a new section of 30 seconds to 2 minutes is added to it.

Same voice and sound

The new part carries on with the singer, instruments and production of the original, so it feels like part of the song rather than a bolt-on.

Write it for me

Get lyrics drafted that pick up the story of the song. Add a direction such as “a hopeful bridge” or “a last chorus that turns it around” to guide them.

Instrumental sections

Leave the lyrics out for a guitar solo, a breakdown, a long intro or an outro that lets the track wind down naturally.

Keep or steer the style

Keep the original style for a seamless continuation, or nudge it toward something like a stripped-back acoustic ending or a bigger, more energetic finale.

Popular ways to use it

Short song to full length

Turn a one-minute sketch into a complete song with a second verse, a bridge and a final chorus.

A proper outro

Give a track that stops abruptly a real ending, whether that's a fade, a big last chorus or a quiet instrumental tag.

A second verse

Keep the hook you love and add new lyrics that move the story forward instead of repeating the first verse.

Extended versions for video

Stretch a song to fit a YouTube video, a slideshow or a wedding montage without looping the same section.

DJ-friendly edits

Add an instrumental intro or outro so a song is easier to mix in and out of a set.

Bridges and breakdowns

Add a section that changes the mood and gives the song somewhere new to go before it ends.

Two ways a song gets extended

How a song is extended depends on where it came from. Songs made with Remixy's own models can be continued from any moment you pick. Everything up to that point stays exactly as it was and the new music picks up from there, which also means you can drop a weak ending and replace it with a better one. Each extension of this kind costs 50 credits.

Songs made with the ElevenLabs engine and songs you upload work differently. The original is kept exactly as it is, and a new section of 30 seconds to 2 minutes is added that continues in the same voice and sound. This path is priced at 150 credits per minute of the finished song, plus the original's minutes when an upload has to be processed first. Because that depends on your file, the exact price is shown before you create.

Tips for a seamless extension

Pick a natural seam. When you choose where to continue, the end of a line, the end of a chorus or the start of an instrumental break works much better than the middle of a word or a held note. Listen through once and note the moment where the song takes a breath.

Match the new lyrics to the song. Keep a similar line length and rhyme pattern to the existing verses, and continue the story rather than restarting it. If you're stuck, Write it for me drafts lines that follow on from what's already there, and a short direction like “the second verse, after they leave town” gives it something specific to aim for.

Be deliberate with style changes. Keeping the style gives the smoothest join. If you do steer it, describe a change the song could plausibly make, such as quieter, fuller or a slower ending, rather than a leap into a different genre, which can make the seam noticeable.

Pricing, downloads and rights

Extending a song made with Remixy's own models costs 50 credits per extension. Other songs cost 150 credits per minute of the finished song, plus processing minutes for uploads, with the total shown up front. Every new account gets 150 free credits after email verification, which is enough to hear what an extension can do.

Downloads follow your plan: MP3 comes with Premium and WAV with Pro, and both plans include a commercial license. Songs made on the free plan are for personal, non-commercial use. Only upload songs you own or have the rights to change, since extending someone else's recording doesn't give you any rights to it.

Questions

How do I make a song longer with AI?

Choose a song, decide where the new part starts or how long it should be, add lyrics or choose instrumental, and create. The extended version is usually ready in under a minute.

Can I extend a song I didn't make on Remixy?

Yes. Upload an MP3, WAV or M4A up to 5 minutes and 30 MB, as long as you have the rights to it. The original is kept as is and a new section of 30 seconds to 2 minutes is added.

Will the new part sound like the same singer?

The extension is made to carry on in the same voice and sound as the original, so the new section should feel like part of the same recording.

Can I write my own lyrics for the extension?

Yes. Type them in, or press Write it for me to get lyrics that continue the song, optionally following a direction like “a hopeful bridge.”

Can the extension be instrumental?

Yes. Choose instrumental to add a solo, an intro, a breakdown or an outro without vocals.

How much does it cost to extend a song?

Songs made with Remixy's own models cost 50 credits per extension. Other songs and uploads cost 150 credits per minute of the finished song, and the exact price appears before you create.

Does extending change the original part of my song?

No. Remixy-model songs keep everything before the point you choose, and other songs and uploads keep the original exactly, with the new section added on.

Can I use the extended song commercially?

Yes on Premium and Pro, which include a commercial license, provided you hold the rights to the original song. Free-plan songs are for personal use.
