About this tool

AI Voice Cloning and Voice Design

Remixy's voice cloning lets you create custom voices and use them across Voice Studio. You can make an instant clone of your own voice from a short recording, design a completely new voice by describing it in words, or remix one of your saved voices into a variation. Saved voices appear in Text to Speech and the Voice Changer, and they stay private to your account.

It's for creators who want to narrate in their own voice without recording every line, brands that need a distinctive voice of their own, storytellers building a cast of characters, and anyone who wants a narrator that doesn't come from a shared library. Creating voices is part of the Premium and Pro plans.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open Create voice

In Voice Studio, go to the Create voice tab and choose Instant clone, Voice design or Voice remix.

  2. 2

Add a sample or a description

For a clone, upload or record 10 seconds to 3 minutes of clear speech and confirm it's your voice or that you have permission. For design or remix, describe the voice you want.

  3. 3

    Review the result

A clone is built from your sample, while design and remix give you three previews to compare.

  4. 4

    Save and use it

Saving is free. Your new voice then shows up in Text to Speech and the Voice Changer.

What you get

Instant clone

Turn 10 seconds to 3 minutes of clear speech into a voice that sounds like the speaker. Record in the browser or upload a file, with optional background-noise removal.

Voice design

Describe age, accent, tone and pace, for example “a warm British narrator in his forties who speaks slowly,” and get three previews to choose from.

Voice remix

Change one of your saved voices with words like “deeper and slower” or “the female version,” then pick from three previews.

Works across Voice Studio

Every saved voice is available in Text to Speech and the Voice Changer, right next to the 12 studio voices.

Private to your account

Custom voices aren't shared with other users. Only your account can see and use the voices you create.

Consent built in

An instant clone only runs after you confirm that the voice is yours or that you have permission to use it.

Popular ways to use it

Narrate in your own voice

Clone yourself once, then produce voiceovers, lessons and updates from a script whenever you need them.

A brand voice

Design a voice that fits your brand's personality and use it across ads, tutorials and product videos.

Characters for stories and games

Design a cast of distinct voices for audio dramas, animations or game prototypes, then remix them into variations.

Scripts in other languages

Use your cloned voice with text to speech scripts written in other languages to reach listeners beyond your own.

Consistent narration

Keep the same narrator across a long series, even when a script gets updated months later.

Three ways to create a voice

Instant clone is the right choice when you want a specific real voice, usually your own. It needs between 10 seconds and 3 minutes of clear speech, recorded in the browser or uploaded. Before cloning, you confirm that it's your voice or that you have the speaker's permission. If the sample has some background sound, the optional noise removal cleans it up first. A clone costs 50 credits.

Voice design creates a voice that doesn't belong to anyone. You describe it, covering things like age, accent, tone and pace, and receive three previews. Save the one that fits, or rework your description and try again. Each design round costs 40 credits.

Voice remix starts from a voice you've already saved and changes it with a plain instruction such as “deeper and slower,” “more energetic” or “the female version.” You get three previews and keep the one you like, also for 40 credits. Saving a voice never costs anything.

Recording a sample that clones well

A clone can only be as good as its sample. Record in a quiet room with soft furnishings, keep a steady distance from the microphone, and make sure there's no music or other voices in the background. A phone held close in a quiet bedroom often beats an expensive microphone in an echoey room.

Speak the way you want the clone to sound. If you'll use it for calm narration, read a passage calmly; if it's for energetic social videos, record with that energy. A longer sample with varied sentences, toward the 3-minute end of the range, gives the clone more to work with than 10 seconds of a single phrase.

Responsible voice cloning

A voice is personal. Only clone your own voice or one you have clear permission to use, which is why the instant clone asks you to confirm consent before it runs. Never clone a voice to impersonate someone, mislead listeners or put words in a real person's mouth without their agreement.

Your custom voices are private to your account, so other users can't find or use them. Premium includes 3 saved voices and Pro includes 10, and you can delete a voice to free up a slot. Both plans come with a commercial license and monthly credits for clones, designs, remixes and the speech you generate with them.

Questions

How much audio do I need to clone my voice?

Between 10 seconds and 3 minutes of clear speech. Longer, clean samples with varied sentences usually give a closer match.

Is voice cloning available on the free plan?

No. Creating voices is part of Premium and Pro. Premium includes 3 saved voices and Pro includes 10.

Can I clone someone else's voice?

Only with their permission. The instant clone requires you to confirm that the voice is yours or that you have permission to use it.

How much does it cost to create a voice?

An instant clone costs 50 credits, and a voice design or voice remix costs 40 credits for three previews. Saving a voice is free.

Where can I use my custom voice?

In Text to Speech and the Voice Changer in Voice Studio, where it appears alongside the 12 studio voices.

Are my cloned voices private?

Yes. Custom voices are private to your account and aren't available to other users.

What is AI voice design?

Voice design creates a brand-new voice from a written description of its age, accent, tone and pace. You get three previews and save the one you like.

Can I change a voice after saving it?

Yes, with Voice remix. Describe the change, such as “deeper and slower,” get three previews and save the version you prefer.
