Crossing Guard Smile

Sun comes up on a little two-lane road,
Morning light with a golden glow.
Maple leaves dance in the summer breeze,
Birds sing soft through the cedar trees.
There’s one bright smile everybody knows,
Standing where the school bell rings and goes.
Orange vest, stop sign held up high,
Making sure every dream walks by.
