Haunted By The Moon

The street lamp hums a quiet tune
It’s glow fade into the blue
A shadow whisper’s “not yet, too soon”

The moon knows my name, my shame, my game
It watches me wander a mark to it’s flame
The moon knows my name
Oh how it came to haunt me softly and just the same
