Lone Wildcat in the Sky

[Verse 1]
February '42, out on the Lex in the Solomon Sea,
Japanese Bettys coming hard for the carrier and her company.
Wildcats scrambled into the sky, but the guns on his wingman jammed,
So Butch O'Hare rolled in alone—one man against the formation’s plan.
